Our new advertising website is launched!

Hey everyone, what a great start to the year!  The studio has been very busy and I’ve been enjoying shooting some great assignments.  I’m back from my self-imposed blogger exile and ready to post…  woohoo!

Just FYI, our new advertising website has just been launched and is online.  Please check it out, I’d love to hear what you think.

For those of you who haven’t had a chance to visit the studio I attached a photo – if you’re in the area stop in for coffee – oh ya, call first :)
Doesn’t Scout look cute on that chair.  ”Get down girl…, I’ll take you to the park in a minute I just have to get this wedding online”

Amanda + Jamie’s Engagement Session

Another great time with a fun couple – Amanda, Jamie and I along with their baby (that’s the hound dog) made our way through the ruins to capture these engagement portraits.

Natalie + Don’s Engagement Session

We’ve seen plenty of wet weather this year, but for Natalie and Don’s engagement session we decided to take cover inside the greenhouse next door.  It makes for a great indoor location no matter what the weather.  At the end of the shoot it cleared up so we went outside to finish off the shoot.

Biz Magazine feature

I always enjoy shooting for business magazines.  It’s an opportunity to meet people, shoot in new locations and capture an “environmental portrait” of someone who isn’t in front of the lens that often, and do it in their space.

Recent Covers

As many of you know my work covers not only shooting couples and weddings but commercial advertising projects as well as editorial assignments, here’s a few recent covers.

Yummy Food

Shooting for Hamilton Magazine I was in two local restaurants to capture these images – La Piazza Allegra and the Red Canoe.  Thanks to both chef’s for creating such delicious entrees, photographing this food was almost as enjoyable as eating it…

Mark + Alicia’s Wedding

Great day/evening with Mark and Alicia at the Ancaster Old Mill.  We had a mostly rainy day but managed to get outdoors for a few minutes with umbrellas.

Enjoy the photos…

Rhoda + Rob’s Engagement Session

Last week I met up with Rhoda and Rob for their engagement shoot and after the narrowing down of locations process we decided on two spots. They’re celebrating their wedding at the Ancaster Old Mill next weekend.  Best of luck – see you on the big day!

Tanya + Craig’s Engagement Session

Last week I met up with Craig and Tanya for their engagement session.  We had a ton of fun walking the grounds of McMaster University, searching for the perfect light and the perfect spot.  I think some of my favourites are the indoor shots (like this first one below).  Tanya and Craig are getting married at the Ancaster Old Mill this October and with how much rain we’ve been having it’s sure to be colourful.

Hope you enjoy the photos – this is just a small taste, the rest will be up for you in your private gallery this week.

GeoDigital – Business Portraits

Last week I was in the new McMaster Innovation Park building photographing the team from GeoDigital. With some amazing architecture in the building we decided to use the atrium as the backdrop.  It’s always great to use an architectural detail in the background instead of cloth backdrops, it makes for a more unique and personalized look.  With a building as nice as this one how could you not use it?010203
